Care for the environment this Christmas

Well done to Nora Mc Bride in 5^th class who won a poetry competition for Green Schools in Co. Louth. Nora wrote a poem to encourage people to think about the environment this Christmas. She received a voucher from Louth County Council for her fantastic poem.

New Santa

Christmas time is here and Santa’s on his way

 What’s he bringing this time? Toys for us to play?

But no! Not this year! What’s he bringing instead?

 Santa has some bin-bags and recycle things as well!

He’s giving them to all children in hope they will recycle

Fruit in the compost bin, cardboard to the reusable box

Food in the fridge not left for the fox

Then Santa will bring the things you wish for with a smile!
